Novonesis
2025–2026
Novonesis is a biosolutions company. EnterpriseAI is its internal AI assistant, built on company infrastructure for employees across scientific, regulatory and business functions.
My Role
Sole UI/UX designer, embedded in a team of four developers and a UI architect.
Case Overview
Novonesis employees are scientists, lawyers and regulatory specialists: expert in their fields, and new to conversational AI. I joined EnterpriseAI in September 2025 as the sole UI/UX designer, three weeks before the Beta soft-launch and after three months of smaller work with the same employees.
The question was how to introduce a new kind of tool where misplaced trust has professional consequences. I chose chat as the starting point because it asked users to learn nothing new, and accepted less control over how people write prompts. I made the model’s reasoning visible, turned a one-line compliance request into a governance layer that could change as regulation did, and built the component library the team would keep using.
The product launched to 187 users in November 2025 and reached 2,540 sign-ups 65 days later. The contract ended in February 2026. Two designs were specified but not shipped: the file upload communication and a mobile revision of the compliance cards. The team now works from the patterns without needing me to explain them.
